Product: HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer

I have been trying to cancel my account and so far nothing has happened.   My printer says it will stop printing soon! When I signed up with HP my printer has been controlled by them.  Some features I had prior to HP will not work now. I do not want to pay for printing on my printer, nor do I want someone controlling my printer. How can I delete my HP account where HP does not control it?
