I cancelled my instant ink plan so that I could sell my printer. After I sold it, I realized that my plan is still active, because it will still keep me enrolled for the next month. If the person I sold to uses the printer, will those pages get added to my account? For example, when you overprint, it automatically charges you for additional paper.

Hi @6JGK
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Yes, if your Instant Ink plan is still active, any pages printed on the HP DeskJet 2755e by the new owner could still be counted under your account.
HP Instant Ink tracks usage through the printer itself, not the user, so until the plan officially cancels at the end of the billing cycle, any prints made could be charged to you.
To prevent this, you can try:
- Removing the Printer from Your HP Account – Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account and remove the printer from your subscription.
- Contacting HP Support – If the printer is still linked to your account, HP support may be able to manually disconnect it.
- Ensuring the New Owner Registers the Printer – The new owner should set up their own HP account and enroll in a new plan, which should override your subscription.
You can find more details on HP’s cancellation policies here. Let me know if you need help navigating the process!
