macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I upgraded my MacOS desktop to Big Sur, and I'm trying to use my HP Envy Photo 7858 all-in-one.  

I found my old HP account, so I signed in with my email and password to HP Smart, and I can print and scan.

However, my password was setup years ago and is weak, so I want to change it.  I go to https://myaccount.id.hp.com/, sign in, and go to Security.  Hit Change Password, enter old password, and new longer password, but I says  "Current password is incorrect".  I showed it and it is exactly what I used to login.  Any ideas?  I tried the Virtual Assistant but no help there

More Info:  Both my email address and phone number show as "verified".

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

 

It looks like the old HP password is registered for this printer device. We will have to reset everything or start from scratch

 

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps from the document fix :-.

 

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners. Press and hold the Control key as you click on the list on the left, then choose “Reset printing system” from the menu that appears.

 

Let's try to sign in again to configure the HP account. Make sure you uninstall the smart app & sign up again.
