Cannot see my 5month instant ink free trial in account settings despite enrolling same of settingup

Hello we recently purchased a HP printer  for homeschooling purposes above others SOLELY because of the 5months instant ink free trial offered with the model!! , I set it up and enrolled in instant ink the same day, nowhere did we find and promo code, we scoured the paperwork for any codes but assumed the 5months would be added once we subscribed to instant ink but even now STILL our account shows nothing about any free months remaining, only what we will be charged on our next billing date? 

I have to say the virtual assistant has been sending me around in circles for the past hour trying to resolve this but like I said I've got 3kids to homeschool here so have no more time to be chasing this elusive 5month free trial I was sold but not recieved, if anybody can please please please help with this as this all seems unnecessarily  complicated for a service which should be automatically activated by setting up and registering the printer itself
