Hp deskjet 5255
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi I bought a printer hp deskjet 5255, when I start up the printer and put the cardtrige that came with the printer, it mark an error that said that the cardtrige is an old version and don’t let me continuous with the setup. Bought other hp cardtrige and now the printer said that need the cardtrige that came with the printer. Don’t know what to do, I can setup the printer.

@aymepr The printer does not print, and one of the following error messages displays on the printer control panel or computer screen:

  • Cartridge Problem

  • Incompatible Ink Cartridge

  • Ink Cartridges Missing

(If it's not any of the above errors, please give me the exact error, so I could help resolve it, accordingly.)

 

Step 1: Update printer firmware

Some releases of ink cartridges are not compatible with older versions of printer firmware. Update the firmware to resolve this problem.
