Cartridge Error We can't determine your next shipment, because we aren't able to read your ink level

HP Recommended
HP ENVY 5030
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Message on the printer display shows:

 

"Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed.  If this message continues to appear, replace the indicated cartridge".

 

Steps I have taken:

1. Reinstalled over a dozen times.

2. Rebooted the printer

 

Catch-22.  I cannot try a different cartridge because I am on the /instant Ink programme and don't have one (yet).  I cannot get one sent to me because my ink levels cannot be read.

 

Please advise.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue with the ink cartridge.
