I have a 8730 Office Jet Pro.
I use both a Windows and an iMac with this printer, hence the other on operating system.
The printer keeps coming up with the same problem.
It reads: One or more cartridges are damaged.
Until cartridges are replaced make sure the printer is turned on to avoid damage to the printer.
The damaged cartridge is the yellow one as it states that on the error message.
I contacted HP and they sent me a new yellow cartridge.
The printer was fine for a week, and then it came up with the same error message again.
I contacted support, they ran through a few things, such as cleaning the head etc... it worked fine for a few more prints and now it has come up with the same error again.
The printer will not print whilst unless I switch it off and leave it for a few minutes.
But the error keeps on coming back all the time.

Hi @MJS-79
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print due to an ink cartridge error. I'd be happy to assist you.
It seems like an intermittent issue with the printer. If the ink cartridge was replaced and the issue persists after troubleshooting, I'm afraid it could be a hardware issue with the printer.
