I have a cartridge problem. I subscribe to Instant Ink. It says it will not send me ink until the cartridge problem is resolved!! I cleaned the cartridge which was dirty but still did not fix the issue. I have had to buy another cartridge to see if this will work. I am very disappointed in the service as I have subscribed for a year and have never received anything when it looks like the black cartridge is empty. The printer works on the colour cartridge if the faulty one is removed.

I understand the black instant ink cartridge is not working.
Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges
