HP ENVY 5032
My computer has been printing fine for months but now, when I try to print, it says "Cartridge cannoy be used until printer is enrolled in HP instant ink". I've tried a few troubleshooting tips (eg. turnng printer off removing cartridges and replacing) but it still won't print.

Hey there! @Lawrencepain

Have you checked if the printer is online and connected to the internet?

Are you trying to use the old HP Instant ink cartridges on this new printer? Is so, then it might not work.

Please try connecting the printer to the network.

You will need to either enroll in Instant Ink or buy regular HP cartridges to resume printing.
If you see this message when you ARE enrolled, then there may be a problem with the cartridge or with the printer enrollment.
Go to Instantink.com and click the link to Sign In, which is located at the top right of the page, or under the 3 horizontal lines if you are on a mobile device.
If you are able to log in, then you do have an account.
Click the Printer Details link under the printer name to check the serial number of the enrolled printer and make sure it matches the printer you are using.

None of this is working, the printer is definitely connected to the internet, I am enrolled on the HP Instant Ink plan and I'm paying the £1.99 a month, the cartridges I'm using are those sent to me under the plan, the serial number on my plan matches the printer, I'm up to date on firmware so I'm running out of ideas. And it seems impossible to speak to anyone other than a virtual agent at HP.

It looks like I'm not allowed to speak to a real person withouty paying because my warranty expired last week - do you know if there's any way of getting help with this? I'm at the point now where I think my only option is to cancel my Instant Ink subscription and try to get a refund on the printer...

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
