I have received an Instant Ink colour cartridge that appears to be defective, as when the cartridge is inserted into my HP ENVY 5540 printer, my printer reports that there is a problem with the cartridge, and the HP Smart application on my PC displays the error message shown below.
'The indicated cartridges are not communicating correctly with the printer. If this problem persists, replace the cartridges.'
This error message continues to appear after completing troubleshooting steps such as cleaning and reinserting the cartridge. If I reinsert my old (and empty) colour cartridge, the old cartridge works correctly with my printer, and the error message no longer appears, which suggests that the new cartridge is defective.
Please can you send me a replacement colour cartridge?
