Envy Photo 7134
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, my HP Envy Photo 7134 started to give error message "cartridge problem" indicating the colour cartridge. This began immediately after the software update to version PALFASPPXN003.2010A.00.

I have tried to install a new Instant Ink cartridge, no use. Factory reset did not help (does not reset firmware at all it seems).

On top of this, the HP Smart app began crashing on launch, so diagnostics are not available either. Please help?

The black cartridge is working fine. I have successfully printed using the "black only" option.

I have seen similar threads marked "solved" but the "solved" part leads to the support post about a private message. I understand that private information protection is involved, but I hope you realise that this is not helpful at all.

Update:

To those who wonders, the solution was a new tri-colour cartridge, the error disappeared when I installed it and I can now print normally.

HP folks, I do realise why you need the "accept" button here, but please consider adding details as to what the solution was? I believe in this case "replacement cartridge shipped" doesn't carry any personal information. As it is now, the "solution" is useless to the others who face the same issue.
