Microsoft Windows 11

My photosmart 7510 shows error "Cartridge problem" after replacing cartridges with original HP cartridges. I check the cartridges for over 10 times and sometimes 4 are not correct and sometimes 1 is not correct after closing the lid. The check is worthless and contains a failure. How to disable this HP check at start up and just start printing.

Hi @ErwinB_skljsklj,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are encountering cartridge problems with your HP Photosmart 7510, there are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

  • Make sure the cartridges are properly installed: Ensure that the cartridges are correctly installed and locked into place. Check for any obstructions or debris around the cartridge holder or inside the printer.
  • Clean the cartridge contacts: Remove the cartridges and clean the contacts on both the cartridges and the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water. Do not use alcohol or other solvents.
  • Reset the printer: Power off the printer, unplug it from the power source and wait for a minute. Reconnect the power cable, power on the printer, and see if the issue persists.
  • Use genuine HP cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges that are compatible with your printer model. Using non-HP cartridges or refilled cartridges may cause issues with the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
