Colour printing

HP Recommended

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Forum no use at all - have purchased expensive colour cartridge but can't print in colour!

Trying to support pupils of key workers in a school! Not happy as have tried numerous avenues but new printers outside of my budget!

Windows 10 is a disaster - please fix it!

Hi @Bertie1914

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print in color. I'd be happy to assist you. let us try these steps:

 

Try making a standalone copy in color and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

    The Setup menu displays.

  2. Touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.

If the printer is able to make a copy in color and print the test page in color, it means the ink cartridge is fine and this is a driver issue.

 

We will have to make changes to the driver installed on your Win 10 PC.
