Defective cartridge

HP Recommended
HP Pro 820
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The printer says defective cartridge, even after replacing cartridges with new genuine HP cartridges more than once. What else could be wrong? Web site is NO HELP whatsoever.

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model?  What exactly are the error messages? I do not find any "HP Pro 820" printers, a search turns up the following but none use Instant Ink.
