Deskjet 2630 not printing black - Instant Ink cartridge

Deskjet 2630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The black cartridge was working fine when we first installed it, then the last few prints were super streaky so we cleaned and realigned the print heads and now it won't print black at all. The computer says that the black ink is almost full. When we followed the advice resulting from a virtual chat in the support centre and removed the cartridge to check it, the cartridge looked dry. Help!!! As there seemed to be no ink coming out of the cartridge but the computer says it's fine, how are we going to print important receipts? Thanks in advance for your help...
