Microsoft Windows 11

My printer has a flashing orange light next to the "I" on my printer. The app is telling me I need to update payment method. Do I need to update payment method to print? I tried powering off the printer, looking for jammed paper, reinstalling the ink cartridges but the orange light keeps blinking. If I have to update the payment methos to print that is the most ridiculous thing.

Hi @PaulFZilla,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If there is a payment pending in your Instant Ink account, you will need to clear it in order to continue printing using Instant Ink cartridges.

If there is no payment due, you do not need to pay for printing from the HP app.

To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.

Kindly share the image/snapshot of where you are getting that message for payment.

You may refer to this document for more details.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
