Does HP shut your printer down when the manufacturer's warranty expire?

HP Recommended

My printer is an Envy 4500 all in one and it was printing fine. Then today it displayed a message: Cannot print, visit instant ink. I did this and learned that the warranty expired. Has HP disabled my printer simply because the warranty expired?  There is no way to even contact them by phone now.

This has nothing with the warranty, but due to any payment problem with your HP Instant Ink account.

 

Please follow below guidelines to verify there is no payment issue with your HP Instant Ink Account:
