Hi @Fatehia,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your HP Officejet 5258 printer is encountering an issue and directing you to visit the HP Instant Ink website for more information. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your printer has enough ink or toner cartridges installed. If any cartridge is low or empty, replace it with a new one.
  • Paper Jam: Check for any paper jams inside the printer. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can cause issues. Clear any jams carefully.
  • Restart Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Check Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Update Printer Driver: Make sure you have the latest printer driver installed on your computer. You can download the latest driver from the HP website or use HP Smart app to automatically update the driver.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or the HP website.
  • Reset Printer: If the issue persists, you can try resetting the printer to its factory settings. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot the issue with your HP OfficeJet 5258 printer and resolve the "cannot print" error message.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
