HP OfficeJet 3833
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP OfficeJet 3833 that gets very light use. It's over a year old and I was still using the original cartridges until tonight. I noticed my print quality was quite terrible despite showing I had plenty of ink left, so I swapped them out for the set that came with my Instant Ink enrollment and the quality is better but it still looks dull and faded. I've realigned them, printed diagnostics, and done two levels of cleaning. The quality may be from the age of the cartridges, but I am very reluctant to pay for a replacement set when I've only just opened these ones. I wish they hadn't sent the replacements as soon as I enrolled, particularly because I enrolled in the lowest plan. It's such a waste.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Not even the black is coming out crisp, it's grey. There is no other issue with the print quality other than it looking dull. The alignment is fine and there are no blank lines or spots.
