I purchased a HP tri-color ink cartridge for my printer. I walked through all of the steps to troubleshoot through your virtual agent. Nothing worked, it's extremely frustrating with virtual school going on and not having printer access.
This is the first time I ever faced this problem, both ink cartridges are new but it is only giving me an issue with the color cartridge error.

Do you get any error messages on the printer regarding the color ink cartridge?
Make sure the plastic tape if any is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.
For now, kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge
Try making a standalone copy in color and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
