HP Envy 5540 - repeated error message to remove and reinstall color ink cartridge.

Receive repeated error message to remove and reinstall color cartridge.  I use HP instant ink so it is an HP cartridge.  Tried replacing and resetting the printer but it did not work.  Any other pointers?
