HP intank 310

My Hp inktank 310 has been displaying an E9 error for a while now, even after following the procedure for correcting the error which is opening the printer door and closing it immediately, the problem still persists.

What might be the problem, and how do i solve it now?

Hi @otumba

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

An E9 error occurs when the printer detects that ink system maintenance is required. An Ink System Maintenance page prints containing instructions to open and close the printhead access door to resolve the error.

NOTE: HP recommends opening and closing the printhead access door 3-4 times to remove any ink buildup and maintain the best print quality.

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Try printing.

If the issue still persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
