HP Instant Ink Connection issue, even with Internet connection working
01-18-2020 08:58 AM

We have tried resetting the internet connection several times and also tried the auto response options listed in the troubleshooting pages.
The Printer shows up on the network and has an active connection, I can see the IP address I can send files to the printer but it wont print until I press a button on the printer asking me to connect to Instant Ink (which I have an active account for).
Whenever I attempt to connect I get an error message on the LCD screen saying that "The Printer could not connect to Web Services. The Server might be busy or temporarily unavailable. Try again later." When Iogin to the printer from a web browser I can access the printer settings and it says that it is connected to Web Services.
This has been going on for more than a week so I know its not simply a server issue. I suspect that its a firmware issue but as far as I can tell everything is up to date on the Printer (I've checked for updates already).

Hi there,
Thank you for responding and apologies for the delay in response. I have already tried that and it has not worked.
Since my initial message I have also tried to connect the printer via USB and attempted to print with the wireless on and off, the results are the same.
I would appear to be a firmware issue from limited point of view.

@AInderbitzin Connection issues should ideally be sorted once the web services is turned off and back on as per the instructions listed, if that doesn't work, I could check the connection details of your account once you respond to my private message, also, if you feel this is an issue with the firmware, I suggest you upgrade the same: click here for details.
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
