HP Instant Ink Cartridges quit working after a couple of weeks. Error message says ink cartridges not communicating with

printer. I have pulled out and put back in both cartridges numerous times and nothing is working. I need two new cartridges

Troubleshooting the issue with your HP Instant Ink cartridges.

 

Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. The communication between your printer and HP's servers is crucial for the Instant Ink service to work.

 

Restart the Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve communication issues.

 

Update Printer Firmware: Make sure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually find firmware update options in your printer's settings menu.

 

Check Cartridge Installation: Double-check that the cartridges are correctly installed. Remove them, and then reinsert them firmly into their respective slots.

 

Clean Cartridge Contacts: Turn off the printer and unplug it. Gently clean the contacts on the cartridges and in the printer with a lint-free cloth. This can help ensure a good connection.
