Hi @NSgirl,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble transferring your Instant Ink subscription from your old HP printer to the new one.
Here are some general steps to help you with the process.
- Cancel the Instant Ink subscription for your old printer: If you haven't already done so, cancel the Instant Ink subscription associated with your old printer. You can usually do this through the Instant Ink website or by contacting HP support.
- Set up your new printer: Follow the instructions provided with your new printer to set it up properly. Ensure that it is connected to your network and functioning correctly before proceeding.
- Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account: Visit the HP Instant Ink website (www.hpinstantink.com) and sign in using your account credentials.
- Add your new printer: Once you're signed in, navigate to the "My Account" or "My Printers" section. Look for an option to add a new printer or replace an existing printer. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your new printer to your Instant Ink account.
- Update printer firmware (if necessary): In some cases, you may need to update the firmware of your new printer to ensure compatibility with the Instant Ink service. Check the printer's support page on the HP website for any available firmware updates and follow the instructions provided.
- Confirm Instant Ink registration: After adding your new printer, you should see it listed under your Instant Ink account. Verify that it's correctly registered and associated with your subscription.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
