How do i completely cancel my account with HP?

I understand you want to completely cancel and delete your HP account. Let’s go through a few steps to make sure the account is fully closed without leaving anything active behind.

Cancel all active HP services
Sign in to your HP account and cancel any active services such as Instant Ink or HP+.
Account deletion will not proceed if subscriptions are still active.

Remove printers from your HP account
In your account dashboard, remove any registered printers if the option is available.
This is especially important for HP+ printers to avoid ownership lock issues.

Sign out of all HP apps and devices
Sign out of HP Smart and any other HP apps on your computer or phone.
This prevents sync issues during the deletion process.

Submit an HP privacy deletion request
Go to HP’s Privacy Rights or Privacy Request page.
Select the option to delete personal data or delete your HP account and submit the request.

Verify the deletion request
Check your email for a confirmation message from HP.
Follow the verification steps to confirm you want the account deleted.

Wait for the deletion to complete
Account deletion can take up to 30 days to fully process.
Avoid signing back into the account during this time.

Understand the impact of deletion
Once deleted, the HP account cannot be recovered.
All registered devices, history, and service access tied to the account will be permanently removed.

Following these steps ensures the HP account is fully canceled and not just logged out, allowing a clean and permanent closure.
