Hello, I bought a new HP Deskjet 2720 printer in Germany. Yesterday, after installing the software , i saw a message that there is an offer from hp where 6 months instant ink is free, if we choose a subscription.

Please let me know how to activate that offer. Thanks.

Printer Code not accepted.PNGHello, I am running from pillar to post to resolve the issue i am facing while registering for instantink. I tried using my laptop as well as smart phone. I am stuck at the page where the HP software has to validate the printer generated code. Unfortunately, i have generated the code 3-4 times, but the HP software doesn"t accept that. The message i get is "Printer code was not recognized. Try it again.". I raised a complain with support team over voice call , my case number is 5064790769. 

Honestly the HP Service sucks and is utter nonsense. Its been 4 days and they haven"t been able to resolve my issue. There is no notification from their end.  Its a new printer Deskjet 2720 model. 

 

 

Please help me. I am frustrated.

 Try the below to generate the claim code -

 

Restart the computer, printer, and router

To resolve many connectivity issues, restart the computer, printer, and router.

NOTE: 

The following steps temporarily disconnect network and Internet connections, and require restarting your computer. Complete any tasks or downloads in progress before you continue.

Turn off the router by pressing the power button or disconnecting the power cord.

Turn off the printer.

Close all running programs on your computer, and then shut down the computer.

Press the power button or reconnect the power cord to the router, and then wait for the Internet activity light to display a normal connected status.

Turn on the printer.

Turn on the computer.

Try to turn on Web Services.

If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

 

Let's disable webservices and re-enable it

--->Press the wireless and information button to print the network configuration

--->Open a web browser (ex Chrome or Mozilla) and type in the printer's IP

---> click on webservices and remove webservices and re-enable it

If the issue persists,

Check the Internet proxy server settings

For networks that use proxy servers, update the Web Services settings in the printer EWS with the proxy information.

Locate the Internet proxy settings.

Windows: Search Windows for Internet, and then click Internet Options in the list of results. On the Internet Properties window, click the Connections tab, select your network, if necessary, and then click Settings.
The network settings menu displays with the proxy settings.
From the EWS, click the Web Services tab, and then click Proxy Settings.

Type the Address and Port values for your proxy server connection, and then click Apply.

Try to turn on Web Services.

 

Update the printer firmware

HP regularly releases printer updates. Updating the printer firmware might resolve the issue.

In last 4 days, i have generated the code 4 times and everytime the HP website doesn"t accept the printer code.

When i contacted the HP Cust Care in Germany, i was told that there is an issue with HP Server where the printer code generated from Deskjet 2720 model printers are not accepted. I was given a case number 5064790769. Can you please check if the issue is related to this case number is resolved.

I’d recommend you contact HP Phone Support in your region for assistance

 

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
