I am getting way too many cartridges from Instant Ink.  How can I throttle back on ink shipments?

Hi @Victor149,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To throttle back on ink shipments from Instant Ink, you can change your ink plan to a lower tier or cancel your current plan. Here's how to do it.

  1. Go to the Instant Ink website and sign in to your account.
  2. Click on the "Change Plan" button on the main dashboard.
  3. Select a lower tier ink plan that better suits your printing needs. Keep in mind that if you select a plan that doesn't provide enough ink for your usage, you may run out of ink before your next shipment.
  4. If you want to cancel your plan, click on the "Cancel Plan" button. Follow the prompts to complete the cancellation process. Please note that any unused pages or rollover pages will be lost when you cancel your plan.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Aiden4,

But if I choose a lower tier plan, I have to pay for pages I print more than the plan.

And if I cancel my plan, I cannot use the instant inks I have already received.

I have more than 4 boxes. 😞

You are not alone. I had a few too many cartridges arrive, thanks to replacing a failed printer, and now have a two-year supply of ink. This means I never run out, even when I up the subscription to print an unusually large job.

It's quite convenient. However, some of the cartridges have reached their end-of-warranty date, and I don't install those (although they're probably just fine).
