I have been forced to spend my disability pension on ink; HP won’t help me with my new printer

I purchased a brand now HP printer a few months ago, as I have just started studying (online);.. after multiple attempts to register for instant ink, and too many phone calls to support; I have been forced to pay out of pocket for ink.      What is wrong with HP?  Why do you willingly put pensioners into financial hardship; for your gains?
