I’m following instructions to set up instaink. But I get a message that says the printer was unable to connect to the server. It is connected to our WiFi…?

I understand you are trying to enroll the printer in Instant Ink.
Follow the steps mentioned in this document - Cannot Connect to Web Services
The code required is the claim code. You may refer to - Find the Printer Claim Code
