I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help troubleshoot the issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e.
- Check Printer Status: Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
- Verify Ink Cartridge Installation: Double-check that the new ink cartridges are properly installed. Sometimes, removing and reinstalling them can help.
- Check for Updates: Make sure your printer's firmware and software are up-to-date. You can usually find updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
- Reset Printer: Try performing a hard reset of the printer. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
- Run HP Print and Scan Doctor: Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. This tool can diagnose and fix many common printer issues.
- Reinstall HP Software: Uninstall the current HP printer software from your computer and reinstall the latest version from the HP website.
