The number of pages being recorded per month is more than what I am printing. I'm aware that the page count doesn't update in real-time due to the connection, but the overall total is more than what I printed over the total month. 

 

A separate issue is that I also have pages printing randomly that haven't come from my computer. I think maybe someone else is accessing my printer somehow. These pages are also being recorded but do not make the page count accurate.

Hi,

Print and evaluate a Printer Status Report:

Take a note of the Total Pages Printed by the printer hardware, and compare the number with future print jobs.

 

HP Instant Ink record every page printed by the printer, the printer cannot be accessed remotely unless the printer is set to allow it.

 

What pages are printed? any application-specific problem, network problem may cause such printing, I believe we should focus on that.

May you include any sample of the randomly printed pages?

Note: if it includes any personal information such as personal details, a printer Serial Number, please share the report via a Private Message, click the top envelop icon to send a private message.

 

Also, ensure that HP ePrint is disabled if not used, or set to allow printing for allowed users only, else others using your email by mistake may cause an unattended print:
