Hi, I'm a Instant Ink customer and when I went to print something this morning it came up with the error message ' Incompatible cartridge - the intended cartridge are not for use in this printer' They are the cartridges, sent from HP, which have been in the printer for a while. I tried the update drivers option (newest drivers installed) and the power cord removal and cleaning the heads to no avail. Is there anything else I can do to rectify this.

Thanks in advance for any ideas to get my printer printing again

Just found that the printer will print without the colour cartridge installed which would mean the colour cartridge is faulty. How do I go about getting a replacement from Hp Instant Ink.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue. And, yes this printer supports printing in single-cartridge mode.

 

If the error persists with the black ink cartridge, please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Thanks for the help, I contacted HP support via Whatsapp and got quick replies and was given the assistance I required. It looks like the colour cartridge had developed a fault as the printer would print with just the black cartridge installed.
