Product: Deskjet 3635

I bought a printer in Malaysia with ink cartridge 680as default.

The printer is now moved to Sweden and compatible ink cartridge as shown on hp website is 302. 

 

On inserting a new 302 cartridge is reflecting as 'Incompatible cartridge' error.

I understand from answers to similar queries is that it may require region change, which I have tried online and chose another country in EU, since Sweden was not listed. The printer still doesn't work. Is there any other way?

 

I also tried to contact HP service but it shows my product as out of warranty. Please help and suggest a way to address this.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

To do a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

 

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to a computer.

2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on the computer.

3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region to which you want to reset it to.

 

Also, let us know the Operating System installed on the Computer and if you meet all the criteria above.

Hello Betty0610, Thanks for your response.

I have the printer connected to USB.

I do not have the full feature software on my computer and would request a link to download the same.

I have bought the cartridges in Europe only, where I am looking to reset the printer (Sweden).

The OS installed is MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.6.
