HP OfficeJet Pro 9025
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased a HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 last week and signed up for instant ink at that time.

The printer is currently using the included ink cartridges and today I received the first instant ink cartridges.

Am I supposed to start using them immediately? Or is there any reason to continue using my current cartridges until they are empty? I would assume since I am now paying for instant ink, I should use there cartridges ASAP?

Hi @colin92,

I'd like to help!

You can install the HP Instant Ink cartridges upon arrival or wait until your standard ink cartridges are depleted. Any pages you print with standard ink cartridges are not counted as pages by your HP Instant Ink account. Once you install any HP Instant Ink cartridges, billing begins.

Hope that answered your question adequately!

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately instant ink has counted all the prints I have done on the stock (non instant ink) cartridges.

So I guess I will go ahead and install the instant ink cartridges since I am already getting dinged...
