Solved!
Ink Cartridge Is Dry
04-22-2020 11:29 AM

Received the ink cartridge last month from Amazon. Installed it and my printer still says “add ink.” Shake it and it’s empty. Cartridge is dried up and now I have no ink. Amazon is out of stock until May 5 and I’m quarantined under June.

Hi @PinkiPad
Welcome to the HP Support Community. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Let us try cleaning the ink cartridge.
Perform steps 9 and 12 from this document. Try printing.
If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks. Those steps did not fix my ink issue. I can call due to disability issues and you don’t have an email address for support.
I’m quite unhappy about $23 being wasted and no working printer.

Glad to know that. You would receive an email from the respective team in HP in 24-72 business hours for further assistance.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

The email address is right since they sent this to me. But the acknowledgment never arrived.

I understand your concern and I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.
They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.
Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here:
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Hi Kumar. I received a private message from an employee and tried to respond. The error of “html content” keeps showing up though I’m using no code. I hit Reply and it says that I’m sending too many messages! I’ve tried four times but I can’t respond and the only code is in my email address. The ampersand symbol is the error I think.
Could JeffHelp look up my account here and email me? Otherwise I’m doomed with a broken printer and dead ink.
