I installed a new ink cartridge into my printer.  I receive the error "Remove and reinstall the indicated ink cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed and then touch ok."  I took it out and replaced it numerous times, I turned off the printer and turn it back on as directed, I removed the cartridges and unplugged the printer for 30 seconds, turned it back on and reinstalled them to reset the printer, I reinstalled the old ink cartridge and the error does not show up.  It just shows out of ink replace cartridge.

I also wipe the cartridge and printer with a dry lint free cloth as directed.  Nothing seems to work.  Can it be a bad cartridge and if so I do I get a replacement?

Please ensure the printer has the latest Firmware https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

 

If the issue persists please contact HP Support in your region for replacement cartridges

 

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
