I own an HP Deskjet 4120e. I have a subscription to HP ink services so I am using official ink.
All my pages come out extremely faded. Black is worst (it barely shows at all), but colour is also not great.
I have tried all the various diagnostic steps in the HP app. To make matters worse there is an alignment issue with the printer. When performing the alignment fix the page gets printed so faded that the scanner can't detect the image to perform the realignment. I have tried doing a full reset of the printer etc.
I am at the point of contacting HP support, but for some reason my perfectly valid serial number is not recognized. I get an error when typing it in online. The error states: "please enter a valid serial number". It is 100% valid, copied directly from the app.
I am at my wits end trying to resolve this issue so I wanted to turn to the forum for any advice. Does anyone have a telephone number for HP so I can actually talk to someone about this?

HP Support case submission uses the serial number to verify Warranty when a device is submitted for Warranty repair.
Instead, consider contacting Instant Ink Support for help.
Printer warranty is not used or necessary to get help for issues related to your Instant Ink subscription.
