The ink in my black cartridge is dry. When I drink in colour, there is no problem, but black doesn't print even though its showing as half full.
When i try to get ink on my finger, the colour comes out fine but nothing from the black. I cant use it, and because the printer is showing as half full, it wont register to send me a new cartridge out.
Can anyone help? I cant find a way to contact HP directly for help

Hi @CObel ,
Welcome to the HP Support-Community.
Please try the following:
Take a handkerchief and the black cartridge.
Moisten the handkerchief slightly and press the cartridge on it, for about 30 seconds, until more ink comes out.
Afterwards, re-insert the cartridge and run a cartridge clean, if necessary.
What is the result?
Best,
Nils_K

I just tried that, held it even longer than 30 seconds and no ink came out. Is it possible that it is empty but showing as half full?

Actually I think, that there is air inside the cartridge.
Please remove the cartridge and turn it upside down for about an hour. In many cases, this procedure helps.
After reinstalling the cartridge, please try to print out a document and check, if the problem remains.
How old is the cartridge and how many pages did you print with it?
Best,
Nils_K
