Ink not printing even though there is ink in cartridges.

HP Recommended
HP envy 45 20 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)


I have an HP Envy 4520 printer. I am trying to print  documents but the pages are coming out blank. I do have ink in all my cartridges according to the app and my computer. 

I went online to the assistant, followed all their suggestions and still will not print with ink. Everything is in operating status and paper does come out after hitting print but no ink on paper. 

I tried to have someone call me but my printer's warranty has expired so I guess they won't talk with me.

It was printing fine this morning.


I have tried...

-unistalling and reinstalling the printer.

-changing out the ink cartridges- the other cartridges won't print either.

-cleaning the cartridges

-just printing in only black

-just printing in only color

-pulling out my hair lol


Any help would be greatly appreciated. My kids have projects to turn in but we need to be able to print first.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.


Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
