HP ENVY 6020e All-in-One Printer

I have been using instant ink for several years. I've bought a new printer, enrolled and got 6 months free printing. However, I've used the replacement XL colour cartridge in one session. The replacement for that took 10 days to arrive and was also used up in one session. I'm now waiting another 10 days for a replacement. My old machine only gave me 10 to 12 prints before exhausting. The new machine gives 45 before being empty. I always had a supply of ink for the old machine. I have no ink back up for the new one. Is this a common problem with other users.

Common?

The answer is difficult to quantify.  It can be done but you need a lot of data to obtain a useful result.

The service is structured for success, of course.  The degree to which it works depends on the execution:  Does the service work as intended?

Sure...

Without regard to any other data differences, Pre-Covid deliveries worked better, faster, more reliably than "Post-Covid" deliveries.

Meh.  Don't agree?  Ignore it.  I won't defend the opinion.

Ink is here and quickly gone!

If the ink is used very quickly, that is, before the printer can notify the service that ink is low and due for replacement, the need for the ink and the ability of the service to schedule the needed replacement can be in conflict.  The service is apparently not structured to support the super quick turn around.

Generally, ten days (in my opinion) is not terrible - it is surely a long time when you need to print "now".

As to the "used once and all gone" - how long ink lasts is tied directly to what is being printed, the health of the printer, the number of uncounted but still "inked" tests / reports.  There are formulae for ink use:  HP Printer & Page Yield Overview

What to do?

Certainly, you should contact Instant Ink Support and ask for help!
