Hi I have bought the HP ENVY 5020 printer today which comes with a free instant ink 12-month trial.
however after set-up and enrollement no free trial was added and now I'm stuck with a free 15 pages per month deal.

Hi @MigleS
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
To avail the 12-month free trial, upgrade your Instant Ink plan to 50 or a higher page plan. Refer to this document for steps to upgrade the plan - HP Instant Ink - Changing Your HP Instant Ink Plan
When the printer is on the 15-page free plan, you will not be charged anything unless you print more than 15 pages and ink will be shipped to you when low ink level is detected. You can be a part of this plan as long as you are enrolled in Instant Ink. So, this plan is free as long as you have the printer or as long as you are enrolled in Instant Ink.
However, if you want the 12 months free, you need to upgrade the plan to 50 or 100 or 300 page-plan. As the 15-page plan is free by default but for the other page plan, there'll be a charge once you have exhausted your 12-months trial.
Let me know how that goes.
