My Instant Ink cartridge delivery arrived and the colour ink I had in the printer was nearly full, as I use black, like most people, the majority of the time, so I just replaced the black, all was well for about 8 days, then I received a 'low ink' message for the colour ink so replaced it, now the black is not recognised! I have tried EVERYTHING including putting the old spent black ink back in ( I don't throw away until both are used ) the old black ink works a treat however, obviously very faint, came to the conclusion that the new black ink was a dud even though it had worked perfectly for 8 days, I called Instant Ink Support and was asked to take out colour and try it then take out black and try it, I did this and was asked what error message was appearing, I'm not sure how to answer as what I have got now is every light. button, number and bar etc.. all flashing at once! I have been told that I will receive new ink in 5 days and there's nothing more HP can do and to go out and buy any ink cartridge that will fit to use while I wait for my delivery, I'm not too comfortable doing this but as I cannot buy HP instant ink anywhere I will have no choice, the loss of work over the next 5 days would cost a lot more than a new printer. Unfortunately I have had issues with this printer for 2 years but until now have been able to sort them out myself (don't get me started on the connection issues!) and I think its time for a BROTHER or CANON.

Hello,

 

Thank you for your reply, as you will see from my post I have already called the instant ink support line and was told to go and buy and use some other brand of ink in my printer, not terribly helpful as HP have stated that only HP instant ink is to be  used. I had tried the virtual assistant but it was not working.
