Not so much a problem, but an observation. I have been an instant ink subscriber since 2014 and in that time I have received 4 color cartridges & 4 Black with one on the way now (thanks for letting me run out of ink while printing my tax returns by the way). Now, I've always known that if I cancelled you would disable my cartridges, so I won't pretend to be outraged by it, but I really don't see how you can justify disabling cartridges that I've paid for 3 times over. I've been a loyal HP customer for many years, never had any other brand of Desktop computer and have had 3 of your laptops, 2 HP touchpads, 2 printers & 2 scanners. But this policy definitely has me looking elsewhere from now on

Hi @RJDPA,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your frustration with the policy regarding Instant Ink cartridges. While the subscription service can offer convenience and potentially cost savings for some users, the limitation on the cartridges once the subscription is canceled can indeed be frustrating, especially if you feel like you've already paid for them multiple times over.
As its a paper-based subscription not an ink-based subscription, the plan is to provide you a set of number of pages to print every month and is charged for the same, the ink is not sent every month but only when it is low.
Pages not used in a month is carried forward and you can check the rollover number of pages in your instant ink account.
I can’t imagine what you must be going through, I wish I could make it better. You may re-enroll to the program to use the cartridges. Or you can always buy genuine HP cartridges and use the printer without any hassle.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
