All in one 4630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently discontinued my Instant Ink. A week later, my 4630 (which has been very reliable) stopped working. Said I had a faulty ink cartridge. So I went to amazon and bought a new ink cartridge (and I got the correct one!). That too comes up as a "faulty" cartridge. So I guess my punishment for discontinuing the Instant Ink program is I get to throw away my 4630 and go to Staples tomorrow and buy a new (non-HP) printer. What a shame. I did put in all the new software, firmware, reset the printer ... and still nothing.

Going to the online "advice" is sort of a cruel joke when you are having a real problem. I probably got a better response from my Dog who rolled her eyes at me when I told her the problem. I tried the Doctor, it told me I had a problem (duh) and to use the assistant. Circles and circles.

MY ADVICE - If you have a good HP printer and even "think" about the Instant Ink they keep pushing if you want to keep your printer working, DO NOT ENROLL IN THE INSTANT INK program. If you do and your printer stops working, go to Staples and get a new printer. (Let me know if my advice works for you!)

@JDLinn, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
