Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't use my Hp Envy 4500 printer at the moment as I constantly have the message, "Incompatible Cartridges The indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer."  The only difference between the instant ink cartridge and the original is the instant ink cartridge is larger. It still fits. The original is a 61XL, and the new is a 61/301. With previous instant ink cartridges, this was not an issue until l I installed the latest cartridges.

I worked with a virtual agent and unplugged the printer from the wall and power cable for over 60 seconds - no change. I confirmed firmware is up-to-date. She now tells me my printer is out of warranty. There must be another trick to get my printer to take these cartridges. Any other suggestions?

How do you get Instant Ink to send you another set of ink cartridges? I would instead try new cartridges than buy another printer! BTW, there is nothing wrong with this printer!

The “Incompatible Cartridge” message may signal you that the cartridge was placed in the wrong slot. In case you get such an error, make sure the cartridge model numbers match your printer model and your country/region. After that, check if they are installed correctly in the corresponding slots.
