I purchased a new Envy Inspire 7958e from Costco. Ended up getting a warranty replacement due to a short between the ink cartridge and the ink cartridge cradle. Cartridge was noticeably burned. After much time on my part and being referred to printer tech support, finally got a replacement printer sent out. Received a Envy Inspire 7955e (not a 7958e - a 7955e. notice the different model #?). This looked like a an older refurbed printer - not really happy about that. But I set it up and it seemed to work fine until the ink ran out. Then I had all kinds of issues with Instant Ink and started getting all kinds of cartridge error messages (cartridge not recognized, need to be enrolled in instant ink, etc.). The printer would not print. Finally figured out that the 6 month introductory period expired and all the cartridges that I had would not work without an active subscription. This was figured out after I opened and tried 4 new ink carts. So all this unused ink. Very unhappy with the whole experience and will not use Instant Ink ever again. Almost 4 hours spent on the phone trying to fix the problem and it only was fixed once I used a new set of very expensive non-instant ink carts from Costco.
