Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .

I've been on the Instant Ink plan for around 2 years now. It just about made sense until the under-handed increase I've just seen in my bank account. a £1/month increase without any warning.

I've now cancelled my subscription as its cheaper to buy elsewhere. It's also damaged my impression of HP who I'd seen as fairly decent until now.

I am sorry you had a bad experience with the price increase.  I had a similar experience - I received a notice (in error, as it turns out) that the subscription for my Laserjet m321 plan was going up from $3.99 to $5.99 per month.  I did not get any notice for my Deskjet 2600 series printer, even though it was being raised from $4.99 to $5.99 per month.  I did search my deleted folder and Spam folder, but I did not receive a notice for the Deskjet.  I ended up canceling both subscriptions.

There was a rather lengthy discussion of this back in January-February, see the post here.

Please be aware that when your subscription ends the HP instant Ink cartridges will stop working and will need to be replaced with retail cartridges.

Many thanks for your comment Bob. The fact that the ink will effectively switch off is very petty as HP will have no use for the opened cartridges. I’m very disappointed actually because I really did like the deal I signed up to and would have even understood a 50p increase with an explanatory email but this is just poor customer management. May even  be enough of a reason to move to another printer supplier.
