Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER

macOS 12.0 Monterey

Purchased an new M209dwe LaserJet printer and it came with 6-months of Instant Ink in the form of laser cartridges. After refering to the information at https://www.hp.com/us-en/printers/instant-ink/plans.html#section=plans&tab=toner which refers to the plans that are available for laserjet customers I signed up for the 50 pages per month for $1.99 plan which as stated on the HP web page includes additional set of 50 pages for just $1 per month.

After all set up  was complete and everything working as expected I checked my account and it is reflecting current plan as 50 pages per month for $1.99 but says additional set of 10 pages for just $1 per month. Looks like that would be correct for an inkjet printer and color cartridges but doesn't match up to what is advertised at the afore mentioned link nor what I signed up for.

I called Instant Ink support (toner group?) and they could not verify the toner arrangements.

Makes sense that there would be a difference between ink jet cartridges and laser cartridges merely because of the number of pages that you can print from a laser cartridge versus an inkjet cartridge.

Anyone else run into this issue and/or have any insight as to how I might proceed to get it straightened out (other than box the printer up and send it back)!!

Kinda feels like a bait and switch to me.

I'm sorry, but the inormation that I looked at before purchasing the printer and after purchasing the printer and in fact right now presents the information different for the toner plans.  See the information at this link, still current as of 5 minutes ago, showing additional pages on the laser plans as 50 pages for $1 . That is what I signed up for.  False advertising!! I need a box to be able to send this printer back and purchase an Epson Eco Tank ET-M1170 Wireless Monochrome SuperTank Printer. Printer cost a bit more but can save $-load on ink!! Wireless, auto double side printing, what's the difference other than saving $ and desktop space??

Current link to Toner prices for Instant Ink ==>

show 50 additional pages for $1 ... https://www.hp.com/us-en/printers/instant-ink/plans.html#section=plans&tab=toner

FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!
