I am subscribed to instant ink and it seems the Black cartridge is faulty. all seemed fine until the printer did an update, and now its complaining that the cartridge is faulty and wont print, in our instant ink account it also says there is a communication error and we should clean the cartridge, we have done this as per the guidelines and still not working.

 

So far I've went round in circles trying to find a way of arranging a return/new cartridge with no luck, there doesnt seem to be any way in instant ink account to request a replacement cartridge....

 

 

Any help on sorting this is appreciated

The document here has information on contacting HP to get replacement Instant Ink cartridges.  Go to the HP Instant Ink site, the phone number (or chat option for some countries) will be listed in the lower center of the opening screen.  Alternately, you can click on the Virtual Assistant.  When the assistant opens type "Where is my ink?" (w/o the quotes).  The system will ask a few questions and then schedule your shipment.

Never received any replies 😞

However, I have magically received a new cartridge in the post.... which has resolved the issue.....  Unfortunately though, this has come a day late as I bought a new printer yesterday in desperation!

 

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HP.... put an option in HP Instant Ink customer portal page to allow customers to request a replacement cartridge when these issues occur, which looking at how many posts there are about this, is quite alot!
